J.J. Pannell, a former Post 176 American Legion Baseball Player and a Bishop O'Connell H.S. graduate, was drafted by the San Francisco Giants during last weeks Major League baseball draft. Pannell, who recently attended and played for George Mason University, played for our Post 176 baseball team during the summers of 2002 and 2003. He joins a cast of other former Post 176 players that have played professionally including two, Ryan Spier (Colorado Rockies/AAA) and Joe Saunders (Anaheim Angels/AAA) that have played in the major leagues.
Congratulations and best wishes to J.J. Pannell and all our Post 176 past and
present baseball players!
